Prime Bank holds ‘empowering youth’ session at KUET
Prime Bank PLC, in collaboration with Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) and the KUET Business & Entrepreneurship Club (KEBC), organised an "Empowering Youth" session at the KUET campus under its flagship initiative, PrimeAcademia.
PrimeAcademia is a customised service platform designed for stakeholders in the education sector, aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry. Through the platform, participants gain access to practical knowledge and real-world experience. The initiative places special emphasis on enhancing students' financial literacy, career readiness, and leadership development, while strengthening industry–academia collaboration.
Through campus engagements, expert-led discussions, interactive workshops, and industry exposure programmes, PrimeAcademia connects future professionals with contemporary banking practices and corporate insights. The KUET session provided students with perspectives on financial inclusion, professional growth, and emerging opportunities in the financial sector.
Professor Dr Md Maksud Helali, Vice-Chancellor of KUET, attended the programme as chief guest. From Prime Bank, Shaila Abedin, SEVP and Head of Liability, and M M Mahbub Hasan, SVP and Head of Financial Inclusion and School Banking, attended as keynote speakers.
Also present were Professor Dr B M Ikramul Haque, Director of the Directorate of Students' Welfare (DSW); Professor Dr Md Helal An Nahiyan, Moderator of KEBC; Mostafa Mahmud, Acting Regional Head (South); and other senior executives of the bank.
The initiative reaffirmed Prime Bank's commitment to nurturing future-ready talent through knowledge sharing, structured guidance, and enhanced financial awareness. By fostering meaningful engagement between academia and industry, the bank aims to strengthen students' preparedness for an evolving professional landscape.
