Banglalink announces new packs with data and minutes for election period
Ahead of the 13th national election scheduled for 12 February, Banglalink has introduced a series of time-bound voice and data packs to support connectivity during the election period.
The digital operator said it expects a rise in calls, online discussions and information sharing nationwide around the election, and has rolled out value-driven offers carrying the message that "their voice matters".
Banglalink said many voters will travel to their designated polling stations and that stable connectivity will be important during the period. The customised offers include data-only packs and bundled voice-and-data options.
Customers can access data packs including 4GB valid for 72 hours at Tk99, 15GB for seven days at Tk199, 20GB for 30 days at Tk498 and 30GB for 30 days at Tk598.
For bundled offers, Banglalink is providing 15GB with 200 minutes for 30 days at Tk499 and 20GB with 300 minutes for 30 days at Tk619. Voice-only options include 300 minutes for 30 days at Tk257 and 500 minutes for 30 days at Tk357.
The operator said the initiative comes at a time when people across the country are discussing rights, expectations, and priorities for an elected government within families, among friends, and across communities.
Banglalink also said it has strengthened its network with additional capacity in key areas beyond regular operations to help ensure stable voice and data services during periods of high usage throughout the election period.
"At a time when people across the country are engaging in important conversations about the nation's future, staying connected matters more than ever. Our focus is to ensure that customers can communicate without disruption, share information responsibly and stay connected with confidence. These specially designed packs, along with strengthened network capacity, reflect Banglalink's commitment to care — by standing beside our customers and supporting open communication in a responsible way as they travel across the country to exercise their right to vote," said Taimur Rahman, chief corporate and regulatory affairs officer of Banglalink.
Banglalink said the offers aim to ensure easy access, reliable network performance and support for responsible communication during the election period.
