Maple Leaf International school launches first inter-school robocon x techfest
The two-day Inter-School RoboCon X TechFest began yesterday, with the first day featuring a 10-hour programme focused on artificial intelligence, innovation and student creativity.
Day one included segments such as Vibe Coding, Ideathon, Tech Quiz and Trivia, and Tech Roast Court. Organisers said the programme also featured interactive entertainment and games to encourage participation among students.
Organised by the Maple Leaf International School Robotics Club, RoboCon X TechFest is the school's first inter-school technology festival. The event has drawn students from multiple institutions, including schools from outside Dhaka, organisers said.
The Business Standard, Bonik Barta and Channel i are supporting the event as media partners.
The closing ceremony of RoboCon X TechFest will be held this evening. Dr Md Sabur Khan, chairman of Daffodil Group and the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB), will attend as chief guest. Dr Md Kaykobad, former professor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet), will be present as distinguished academic guest, while Dr Jafar Uddin, former bureaucrat and adviser to Brac, will also attend.
