The court also issued arrest warrant against them.

According to the prosecution, police recovered the body parts of Mafizur Rahman from Beuta graveyard in Keraniganj on 1 January 2018 and police filed case with Keraniganj Police Station.

Police arrested Lucky and Salauddin for their suspected involvement in the murder. Later, they gave a confessional statement.

A relationship developed between Lucky and Mafizur, who was a gold trader and also herbal medical practitioner.

When the matter was revealed in the village, Lucky along with her brother-in-law Saluddin created a plot to kill Mafizur.

On 31 December 2017, Lucky invited Mafizur to her home where he was made unconscious after he ate food mixed with sedatives.

Later, they killed him and cut his body into ten pieces and dumped it in different places.

On 21 September 2017, police submitted a charge sheet against them.
