Woman violently dragged along road in Siddheshwari after muggers in moving car grab her bag

A woman was violently dragged along the road in the capital's Siddheshwari after snatchers grabbed her bag from a moving car yesterday (26 April).
Video of the incident went viral on social media.
Confirming the matter, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner of the Ramna Division Abdullah Al Mamun said they were inspecting the scene and that no case has been filed yet, but legal procedures were underway.
"We found the victim's family and contacted them," he added.
The police official said the victim is a teacher who works at a college in Chandra, Gazipur. She lives with her family in Siddheshwari, where the mugging took place.
In the video, the woman was seen standing by the roadside when a white car slowed down, and in a swift move, one of the people from inside grabbed her handbag.
As the car sped away, she was dragged along the road.
The video has sparked outrage and raised concerns about public safety in broad daylight.
