ISU conducts capacity-building workshop for faculty members

International Standard University (ISU) hosted a day-long training workshop on "BAC Accreditation for Academic Programs" on Monday at its Mohakhali campus. Organised by the university's Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the workshop aimed to enhance the professional and academic capacities of faculty members in line with national accreditation standards.

The event was inaugurated by ISU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Awal Khan and chaired by Professor Dr Md Ekramul Hoque, Director of IQAC. Academic and administrative staff from various departments participated in the workshop.

In his address, Professor Dr Abdul Awal Khan stressed the importance of continuous professional development for educators and aligning academic programmes with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) models recommended by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC). He also underscored the value of effective teacher-student communication in fostering a strong academic environment and supporting students' holistic development.
