Prime Bank promotes financial literacy, leadership at GAU seminar
Under its flagship platform, PrimeAcademia, Prime Bank PLC has organised a seminar titled 'Empowering Youth' at Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU) in collaboration with the university and the GAU Career Club, according to the bank.
The bank stated that PrimeAcademia is a tailored service platform for education-sector stakeholders, designed to strengthen academia–industry collaboration and support financial literacy, career readiness, and leadership development.
Shaila Abedin, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Liability at Prime Bank, delivered a keynote highlighting financial discipline, continuous self-development, ethical leadership, and women's empowerment. She urged students—particularly women—to make informed financial decisions and use digital financial services to support financial independence.
Another keynote speaker, M M Mahbub Hasan, Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Inclusion and School Banking at Prime Bank, stated that financial inclusion goes beyond account opening and involves widening opportunities and ensuring sustainable economic participation. He discussed e-KYC and digital onboarding and shared insights on preparing for leadership in an evolving financial ecosystem.
