Memorial event to honour former minister Abdullah Al Noman

A memorial event has been announced to pay tribute to the late Abdullah Al Noman, a respected politician and former Minister of Fisheries, Livestock and Environment, in recognition of his lasting contributions to national development and public service.
The event will be held on Friday, 27 June 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Abdus Salam Auditorium of the National Press Club, Dhaka. Organised by the Abdullah Al Noman National Memorial Committee, the programme will bring together eminent citizens from various sectors of society.
To ensure the event's success, a 45-member citizens' committee has been formed. Syed Mahmudul Huq, Chairman of the Bangladesh Shrimp and Fish Foundation, serves as Convenor, while Chinmoy Mutsuddi, a senior journalist, is the Member Secretary.
The memorial aims to reflect on Mr Noman's legacy, particularly his contributions to environmental policy, the development of the fisheries and livestock sectors, and his broader role in national politics.
The organisers have stated that the event is open to the public, particularly those who have been influenced by Mr Noman's work, to join in celebrating his life and contributions to Bangladesh.
