IFIC Bank partners with kolosindur football academy
IFIC Bank PLC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kolosindur Football Academy in Dhobaura, Mymensingh, under its 'Future of Tomorrow: Powered by IFIC' initiative, aiming to support and nurture the next generation of female footballers in Bangladesh.
Kolosindur has become a national symbol of hope and ambition, having produced nine players for the Bangladesh Women's National Football Team, including six players who represented the country in the 2024 SAFF Championship.
The MoU was signed on 18 June 2025 at IFIC Bank's Mymensingh Branch. Representing the academy were Juel Mia, General Secretary and Coach, and Mala Rani Sarker, President. IFIC Bank was represented by Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Branch Business.
The event opened with remarks by Fariha Haider, Head of Centralised Retail Marketing. Also in attendance were Razia Samad Dahlia, President of the Sherpur Diabetic Association and a noted social worker, and AKM Delwar Hossain Mukul, President of the Mymensingh District Football Association.
This partnership follows IFIC Bank's visit to Kalsindur Government Uchcha Madhyamik Bidyalay in October 2024, during which the bank donated sports equipment to young female players. The new agreement ensures ongoing support, including nutrition assistance and infrastructure development, for the academy's athletes.
"Supporting these young athletes is an investment in their future and the future of Bangladesh," said Rafiqul Islam. President Mala Rani Sarker added, "IFIC Bank's support will encourage and inspire our girls to dream bigger."
The collaboration reflects IFIC Bank's commitment to women's empowerment beyond financial services, extending into sports, education, and entrepreneurship. It highlights the bank's commitment to creating a meaningful impact through community engagement and inclusive development.
