Guardian Life signs deal to insure super star group employees
Guardian Life Insurance Ltd has signed an agreement with Super Star Group to provide insurance coverage for the group's employees.
Under the agreement, employees of Super Star Group and their dependants will be able to avail life coverage and medical benefits, aimed at strengthening their financial and healthcare safety nets.
The agreement was signed on 16 February at Guardian's head office in Gulshan in the capital.
Sheikh Rakibul Karim, chief executive officer of Guardian, and Harun Ar Rashid, managing director of Super Star Group, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Among those present from Guardian were Ghazi Rafi Ahmed Shams, senior vice president and head of group insurance; Iftakher Ahmed, senior vice president and deputy head of group insurance; Abu Hanif, senior assistant vice president and team leader (group insurance); Jinat Ferdousi, senior assistant vice president and head of group service; and Ahmed Shafiul Huq, key account manager (group insurance).
Representing Super Star Group were Sheikh Sadi Abdul Mojid, deputy managing director; Mohammad Aminul Islam, chief financial officer; Md Zazmool Haque, general manager (ICCD); Subir Kumar Das, deputy general manager (human resources); and Kazi Tanvir Ahmed, manager (human resources).
Commenting on the agreement, Rakibul Karim said, "At Guardian, we believe employee wellbeing is fundamental to sustainable business success. Guardian said it currently provides insurance coverage to more than 1.3 crore people, including employees of more than 500 local and multinational organisations. The company said it continues to expand its services through innovation, efficiency and customer-focused delivery.
