Indian visa process to normalise soon, says asst high commissioner in Sylhet
The assistant high commissioner said Bangladesh and India share common values and cultural heritage dating back centuries
The Indian visa process will return to normal soon, Assistant High Commissioner of India in Sylhet, Aniruddha Das said today (19 February).
"Necessary initiatives have already been taken in this regard. In addition, medical visas and double-entry visas are currently being issued," he told journalists during a views exchange meeting at the Sylhet District Press Club.
The assistant high commissioner said Bangladesh and India share common values and cultural heritage dating back centuries.
"We want to work together. India-Bangladesh relations stand together on a strong foundation," he said.
He emphasised that the people of both countries would be the key stakeholders in building a stable, positive, constructive, long-term and mutually beneficial relationship.
He also assured maximum cooperation in visa issuance to further strengthen bilateral ties between the two neighbouring countries.
