Elite Paint honours language movement veteran Protibha Mutsuddi
On the eve of International Mother Language Day, Elite Paint paid tribute to Language Movement veteran and Ekushey Padak recipient Protibha Mutsuddi.
As she was unwell, a delegation from the company visited the Kumudini Complex and presented the honour in a small programme.
Elite Paint said the Language Movement was a defining expression of the Bengali people's aspiration for self-determination. It also referred to the company's origins, noting that entrepreneur Sirajuddin Ahmed established Elite Paint in Chattogram during that period, marking the start of a local industrial journey.
Representing Elite Paint at the event were Imranul Kabir, head of MANCOM, Shayena Haque, general manager (technical and commercial), and Shameem Ahmed Khan, head of marketing. The delegation expressed gratitude to Mutsuddi and said the company remains committed to upholding the spirit of Ekushey.
Students of Kumudini Nursing College performed patriotic songs, including "Amar Bhaiyer Rokte Rangano" and "Dhon Dhanno Pushpe Bhora," with attendees joining in chorus. Elite Paint also thanked the Kumudini authorities for their cooperation in organising the programme.
