BRAC bank’s new visa card offers grocery, healthcare cashback
BRAC Bank has launched the Visa Cashback Credit Card, positioning it as a product offering savings, lifestyle benefits and financial flexibility for customers.
The bank said cardholders can earn up to Tk8,400 in annual cashback across retail, grocery, healthcare and wallet-related transactions.
Newly issued primary cardholders will receive welcome vouchers from merchants including Pickaboo, Artisan, Gadget & Gear and Chaldal. During the first three months after issuance, customers will also be eligible for monthly cashback of up to Tk300 on POS, QR and e-commerce spending, the bank said.
The card also offers 1% cashback on bKash wallet transfer processing fees. Cardholders will receive 10% monthly cashback on spending at grocery outlets such as Shwapno, Meena Bazar, Agora and Unimart, and 10% monthly cashback on spending at healthcare outlets including Lazz Pharma, Tamanna Pharmacy and Arogga, according to BRAC Bank.
For larger local and international purchases, the card offers EMI options ranging from 6 to 24 months through the bank's digital banking app Astha. An EMI facility of up to 36 months is also available at more than 1,700 partner merchants, the bank said.
Customers will also earn reward points, which can be redeemed against eligible retail purchases or used to waive annual fees. The card includes an optional Credit Shield Insurance facility, offering hospitalisation coverage and protection against death, permanent disability and critical illness.
The card was inaugurated by Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, managing director and chief executive officer of BRAC Bank, along with Shabbir Ahmed, country manager of Visa, and Mahiul Islam, deputy managing director and head of the retail banking division of BRAC Bank, on 17 February 2026 at the bank's head office.
