Bashundhara Kings have continued their dominance over Bangladesh football with another title - this time the Federation Cup after defeating Saif Sporting Club 1-0 in the final at the Bangabandhu Stadium on Sunday.

They were the defending champions of the tournament and they have regained their trophy in emphatic fashion.

Needless to that the two teams that reached the final of the tournament have been the two best teams in the domestic circuit over the past few years and are building a budding rivalry.

Argentine striker Raul Besera's goal in the 52nd was the difference between the two clubs and the title.

But the hero the final was their goalkeeper Anisur Rahman Ziko, who made save after vital save to ensure the Kings kept a clean-sheet.

It was an even first-half with both teams creating chances to score the opener but were faced by good defending or let down by poor finishing, as a result of which the teams entered the half-time break goalless.

But in the second half, the Kings upped the ante and Raul broke the deadlock.

That gave them a further boost as they dominated proceedings till the 65th minute with more attacks.

But from there, Saif Sporting started to regain momentum and put the Kings' defence under pressure.

In the 69th minute, Saif got their best chance to score a goal as Kennedy Ukuzuku had a brilliant shot on goal, but only saw a flying Zico diving and parrying the ball for a corner.

Five minutes later, Kennedy once again was there to score an equaliser but was unfortunately denied by the bar.

Another chance came in the 86th minute for Kennedy from a cross, but Zico was there once again to make the save and save the day for the Kings.
