Serov Academy holds ‘amar ekushey’ class to mark 21 February
On 21 February 2026, to mark International Mother Language Day, Serov Academy of Fine Arts organised a special "Amar Ekushey" class and creative programme to inspire children with the spirit of the Language Movement.
The programme began with members of the academy's management committee, teachers, students, and guardians singing the national anthem. Participants also paid tribute to the language martyrs by performing "Amar Bhaiyer Rokte Rangano Ekushey February".
During the session, children created paper models of the Shaheed Minar and decorated them in colour. Other students reflected on the Language Movement and the importance of the mother tongue through themed artworks and creative presentations.
According to the organisers, the event aimed to promote patriotism, cultural values, and creative excellence among children through such initiatives.
