BRAC Bank graduates first batch of branch young leaders
BRAC Bank has graduated the first batch of its Branch Young Leaders, a programme the bank said is aimed at building a pipeline of future branch leaders to support its expanding distribution network and improve customer experience nationwide.
The bank described the initiative as an investment in developing high-potential young professionals to drive operational excellence, innovation and customer-centric service across its branch network.
Over a year, participants completed a rotational training programme covering branch operations, customer relationship management, compliance, governance and responsible banking practices. The programme included structured departmental attachments, hands-on experience and a month-long banking foundation course at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM), BRAC Bank said.
The graduation ceremony, titled "Learner to Leader", was held at the bank's head office in Dhaka on 17 February 2026, with Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, managing director and chief executive officer of BRAC Bank, members of the management committee and senior leaders in attendance.
"The future of banking will be shaped by leaders who combine strong values, digital fluency and deep customer empathy. Through the Branch Young Leaders programme, we are investing in exceptional young talents who will redefine branch banking and strengthen our leadership pipeline for the future. These graduates will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission of delivering trusted, inclusive and future-ready banking across Bangladesh," Khan said.
BRAC Bank said the initiative reflects its focus on strengthening institutional capacity through talent development and preparing the next generation of leaders to sustain growth and uphold governance standards.
