Bangladesh represented at ACE 2026 as DIU founder joins leadership panel
Dr Sabur Khan, founder and chairman of the board of trustees of Daffodil International University (DIU), participated in the ACE 2026 annual conference held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, DC.
At the conference, Dr Khan joined a panel discussion with Dr Fernando León-García, board chair of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), and Dr Fanta Aw, CEO of NAFSA: Association of International Educators. The discussion focused on global higher education leadership, international collaboration and the evolving role of universities in advancing cross-border partnerships and innovation.
The session brought together university leaders and policymakers from different countries to explore strategies for strengthening internationalisation, student mobility and institutional resilience in an increasingly complex global landscape.
Dr Khan also attended the IAUP board meeting held during the ACE conference in his capacity as treasurer-elect of IAUP. DIU said his participation reflects Bangladesh's growing presence in global higher education governance and leadership.
DIU said Dr Khan's engagement at ACE 2026 aligns with the university's focus on global engagement, academic diplomacy and international higher education collaboration.
