200 students join Model UN conference in Panchagarh
More than 200 students in Panchagarh discussed international crises, diplomatic negotiations, alliance-building, drafting resolutions and voting at a two-day Model United Nations conference modelled on the United Nations.
Organised by Panchagarh Pioneers to introduce students to international relations, diplomacy, leadership and critical thinking, the conference opened at the Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar Collegiate Institute ground on Friday (18 September). It will conclude today (19 September), according to the press release.
Students from different areas of Panchagarh are participating in the conference as delegates representing different countries and as representatives of international media organisations.

Panchagarh-1 MP Barrister Muhammad Nawshad Zamir inaugurated the event on Friday afternoon.
On the first day, student delegates representing different countries and news organisations took part in debates at the General Assembly. They presented arguments and proposals on issues including the refugee crisis, human rights and safe shelter.
Organisers said participants had been prepared for the main conference through a series of offline and online workshops in different areas of Panchagarh.
