Electro Mart to bring gree ‘airy’ inverter ac series to Bangladesh
Gree has announced that its new "Airy" series of air conditioners will soon be available in Bangladesh, with Electro Mart Group completing preparations to bring the line-up to market.
Electro Mart said the "Airy" series will be available in 1.0-ton, 1.5-ton and 2.0-ton models at its display centres, retail outlets and partner showrooms nationwide. The company said the series has built customer trust in several markets and is being introduced in Bangladesh, with a focus on enhanced consumer benefits.
At a launch event at Electro Mart Group's Gulshan corporate office on 28 February 2026, Deputy Managing Director Md Nurul Afser thanked partners and guests. He said the brand's position in the local market has been strengthened by support from partners and consumers.
Discussing the new range, Afser said the "Airy" series is a high-efficiency inverter air conditioner designed for extreme temperatures, featuring "G-Boost" technology that can operate in heat of up to 68°C. He added that the series offers dual self-cleaning for indoor and outdoor units, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and "Surfing Louver" airflow designed to reduce direct cold blasts.
He said the series uses an AI chip and a "G-Learning" algorithm to learn user habits and optimise energy use, claiming savings of up to 20% compared with standard inverter models. Afser also said the units include a Cold Plasma sterilisation system, claiming it can eliminate 93% of bacteria and viruses.
Electro Mart highlighted key features of the "Airy" series, including:
-
cooling performance in temperatures of up to 68°C, using a True T3 G-Boost inverter compressor
-
high SEER ratings for energy efficiency
-
four-way airflow with coverage of up to 15.5 metres
-
self-cleaning for both indoor and outdoor units
-
app-based controls, including Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity and power-gear control (ampere lock)
The company said Gree has been the world's number one air conditioner brand since 2001 and noted that it won the Global Cooling Prize in 2021 for "Zero Carbon Source" technology, which it claimed can reduce air-conditioner carbon emissions by up to 80%. It also said Gree has received the Superbrands award in Bangladesh twice.
The event was attended by Deputy Managing Director Mohammed Nurussafa Babu, Director Mohammad Sazzad Un Newaz, Sales and Marketing GM Mahmudun Nabi Chowdhury, NSM (Retail) Zulhak Hossain, and other senior officials.
