BADC celebrates 64th founding anniversary

Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) continues to play an unparalleled role in ensuring sustainable agricultural security through efficient agricultural management, said BADC Chairman (Grade-1) Md Ruhul Amin Khan.
He made the remarks while addressing a discussion session marking the organisation's 64th founding anniversary, held today at the seminar hall of Krishi Bhaban with the participation of all officers and employees.
The chairman said agriculture is the backbone of the national economy, and economic self-sufficiency is impossible without it. Under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, BADC has been working tirelessly to develop a sustainable agricultural system.
Highlighting BADC's contributions, he noted that the organisation has an impressive record in supplying quality seeds of various crops, balanced non-urea fertilisers, and irrigation facilities to farmers' doorsteps. The scope and scale of its activities have expanded significantly compared to the past.
He urged all officers and employees to perform their duties with honesty, sincerity, and greater accountability to make BADC a true friend of agriculture and farmers.
It may be noted that the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation was established on 16 October 1961 through an ordinance.
