BADC observes victory day 2025 with due respect
Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) observed the Great Victory Day 2025 with due respect, as in previous years.
The programme formally began at dawn with the hoisting of the national flag. This was followed by the laying of wreaths at the memorial dedicated to BADC officials and employees who participated in the Liberation War of 1971 and those who were martyred.
On behalf of BADC, the organisation's secretary, leaders of various professional bodies, and officers and employees from all levels took part in the programme.
At a subsequent discussion meeting, speakers said 16 December is a glorious day in the history of the Bengali nation. Through determined struggle against oppression, injustice and brutality, Bangladesh achieved independence and a new national flag, marking the beginning of a free and sovereign journey.
They stressed that the hard-earned independence must be preserved at all costs and that continuous efforts must be made to ensure the benefits of independence reach all sections of society. Calling for a firm commitment to building a better Bangladesh, speakers urged all to work with integrity, honesty and professionalism, rising above corruption, injustice and harassment, and remaining united against all anti-national forces for the country's welfare and development.
