Al-Arafah Islami Bank reports steady growth at 30th AGM
The 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC was held virtually on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, at the bank's head office, with Chairman Khwaja Shahriar presiding over the session.
Board Directors Md Shahin Ul Islam, Md Abdul Wadud, Professor Dr Mohammed Abu Eusuf, and Mohammad Asraful Hassan FCA, along with Managing Director (Acting) Mohd Rafat Ullah Khan, attended the meeting. Company Secretary (Acting) Mohammad Moniruzzaman FCA presented the agenda.
At the end of 2024, the bank achieved 8.37% growth in deposits and 6.68% growth in investments compared to the previous year. Shareholders approved all agendas presented at the meeting, including the financial statements for the 2024 fiscal year, appointment of auditors, and several key proposals.
During the discussion, shareholders reviewed the bank's performance and expressed satisfaction with its overall progress and operations. They also provided constructive recommendations to further strengthen the bank's image and operational efficiency.
Chairman Khwaja Shahriar outlined future plans for the bank's growth and thanked shareholders for their participation and continued trust. He called for collective cooperation in achieving the institution's strategic goals.
