Hadi's condition stabilised after brief deterioration: Family

Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi, who fell victim to a gun attack on Friday, has stabilised after showing slight deterioration following initial medical tests in Singapore, according to his family.
In a Facebook post today (16 December), quoting Hadi's brother, Inqilab Mancha said the update was received from Singapore around 3pm.
"While another surgery is required, Hadi's current physical condition does not yet permit the procedure."
Hadi, also an aspiring Dhaka-8 independent candidate, was shot in the head on 12 December, was flown to Singapore on 15 December for advanced treatment. An air ambulance departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 1:55pm and arrived at Changi Airport at about 6:30pm Bangladesh time.
Dr Md Abdul Ahad, a resident physician at the neurosurgery department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital and member secretary of the National Health Alliance, confirmed the development, adding that Hadi is being accompanied by his two brothers.
The air ambulance operated by Osprey Aviation landed in Dhaka at 11:22am and departed with Hadi at around 1:30pm.
Earlier, Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed said the government has no hesitation in allocating necessary funds for the treatment of the critically injured activist.
A case has been filed over the attack, naming Faisal Karim Masud, also known as Daud Khan, as the prime accused, along with several unidentified individuals.
So far, seven people have been arrested, including Md Kabir, associate of Masud; Mohammad Abdul Hannan, the owner of the motorcycle allegedly used in the shooting; as well as the wife, brother-in-law and a female friend of the prime suspect.
Two others – Sibion Dio and Sanjay Chisim – were also arrested for allegedly facilitating the suspect's illegal cross-border movement.
