Air ambulance carrying Osman Hadi arrives in Singapore
Hadi was shot in the head on Friday in the Purana Paltan area of the capital.

Sharif Osman Hadi, a likely Dhaka-8 independent candidate shot in the head a couple of days ago, was taken to Singapore today (15 December) for advanced treatment.
The air ambulance departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 1:55pm and reached the Changi Airport around 6:30pm (Bangladesh time).
Dr Md Abdul Ahad, a resident physician of the neurosurgery department at Dhaka Medical College Hospital and member secretary of the National Health Alliance (NHA), confirmed the matter.
Hadi's two brothers are accompanying him to Singapore, the doctor said.
The air ambulance of Osprey Aviation landed at Dhaka airport at 11:22am and was scheduled to depart with Hadi, spokesperson for the Inqilab Mancha, at 1:30pm. The Civil Aviation Authority disclosed this information in a short message to the media.
Meanwhile, Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed said the government had no hesitation in allocating necessary funds for the treatment of critically injured Sharif Osman Hadi.
A case has been filed in the attack on Hadi that took place on Friday (12 December), naming Faisal Karim Masud, also known as Daud Khan, as the main accused and several unidentified individuals as accused.
Till now, six people have been arrested in the incident, including Mohammad Abdul Hannan, owner of the motorcycle that was used to shoot Hadi; the wife, brother-in-law and a female friend of the prime suspect Faisal; Sibion Dio and Sanjay Chisim, who were allegedly involved in illegally facilitating cross-border movement of the suspect.
Hospitalisation after attack
Hadi was shot around 2:24pm on Friday (12 December) in the Purana Paltan area of the capital. An assailant fired at Osman Hadi from a motorcycle that had been following him from behind while he was travelling in a battery-powered rickshaw.
He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) emergency department following the attack and taken to the operating theatre at around 3:50pm.
Later, around 7:30pm, after surgery, he was transferred to Evercare Hospital for advanced treatment.
Dr Zahid Raihan, head of the Neurosurgery Department at DMCH, told reporters that Hadi's condition was "extremely critical."
The press wing of the Chief Adviser's office said that necessary preparations, including the medical air ambulance, a team of doctors, and travel arrangements, had been completed.
Arrangements for his treatment at the Accident and Emergency Department of Singapore General Hospital have also been made. It was also stated that the government will bear all medical expenses for Hadi's treatment.
The chief adviser has instructed authorities concerned to monitor his treatment process around the clock, seeking prayers from the nation for Hadi's speedy recovery.
Over the past two days, the government contacted several hospitals in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia to arrange for Hadi's advanced treatment.
According to Dr Md Sayedur Rahman, special assistant to the chief adviser on health matters, Hadi's current condition remains stable and unchanged.
