Gazi Jasim Uddin takes charge as CID chief

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Gazi Jasim Uddin has assumed charge as the head of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police.
CID confirmed the development in a Facebook post today (17 March), stating that he took over the role yesterday.
Earlier, on 9 March, Additional Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Matiur Rahman Sheikh, who was then serving as the CID chief, was transferred to the Police Headquarters.
