AIUB holds webinar on ‘5G research’

A webinar titled 'Insights on 5G from a research experience' was held on 6 May as a part of "Dr Anwarul Abedin Lecture Series" at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB).

The webinar was organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology in the honor of AIUB's visionary Founder Chairman Dr Anwarul Abedin who catalyzed substantial transformation in the educational sector of the country, said a press release.

AIUB Faculty of Engineering Dean Professor Dr ABM Siddique Hossain delivered an inspirational welcome message focused on the significance of 5G technology in today's world for re-shaping people's lives.

Dr Andres Gonzalez, scientist of Telenor Group, Norway, illustrated his knowledge and experience on 5G research as the esteemed guest speaker of the event. He highlighted the demand and future of 5G technology.

Professor Dr Md Abdur Rahman, associate dean at AIUB Faculty of Engineering, concluded the event by conveying gratitude towards the distinguished speaker and handed him a digital certificate of appreciation. Faculty of Science and Technology Director Dr Dip Nandi moderated the webinar.

Computer Science department head Dr Md Mahbub Chowdhury Mishu, faculty members, officials, students, alumni of AIUB and professionals from the telecommunication industry were present with some 500 participants at the webinar on the Zoom platform.
