Special drive: DMP arrests 16, including alleged muggers, in Mohammadpur

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in Mohammadpur has arrested 16 individuals, including alleged professional muggers and criminals involved in different offences.
"The arrests were made yesterday during a special operation in crime-prone areas of Mohammadpur," Deputy Commissioner (media) of DMP, Muhammad Talebur Rahman, told The Business Standard today (26 March).
"The arrestees include professional muggers, drug dealers, and individuals involved in various criminal activities," he said.

The arrestees were identified as Sahid, 30, Sabuj Munshi, 34, Sabuj Akash, 25, Sabina, 28, Javed, 32, Billal alias Bhati Billal, 27, Billal Hossain, 23, Jewel, 22, Bellal, 30, Ibrahim, 22, Roni, 19, Liton, 34, Sagar, 18, Biplob Roni, 36, Zakir, 36, and Imam, 20.
The officer said all arrestees have been sent to court following legal procedures.
