DMP launches election info, complaints hotlines ahead of national polls

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today (2 February) launched special hotline numbers to receive information and complaints related to the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election and the referendum.
Dhaka city residents can use these numbers to report violations of the electoral code of conduct or to seek police intervention in matters that may influence the election, reads a DMP press release signed by Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner of the Media and Public Relations Division.
According to the press release, members of the public can contact the police through the following hotline numbers: 01320037358, 01320037359 and 01320037360.
The police also sought the cooperation of city dwellers in maintaining law and order to ensure a free, neutral and fair election.
