All 29 posts in the triennial election of the Chattogram C&F Agents Association have been filled without a vote as the Election Commission declared all candidates elected unopposed.

Chief Election Commissioner Mohammad Sharif confirmed the development on Sunday (9 February).

Initially, 59 candidates submitted nomination papers for the 29 available posts. However, by the final withdrawal deadline, all opposing candidates had withdrawn their nominations, leaving a single candidate for each position. As a result, the scheduled vote for 26 February was canceled, and the results were officially announced.

According to the Election Commission, the newly elected leadership includes SM Saiful Alam as president, Md Nurul Absar as first vice-president, Md. Saifuddin as second vice-president, and Abu Saleh as third vice-president. Md. Shawkat Ali was elected as general secretary, with Md Ubayedul Haque and Md Jamal Uddin as first and second joint general secretaries, respectively.

Other key positions were filled by Moktar Hossain Patwari (Finance Secretary), ASM Rezaul Karim (Customs Affairs Secretary), Mansur ul Amin (First Customs Affairs Secretary), and Rokon Uddin Mahmud (Port Affairs Secretary).

Additional roles were filled by Lokman Hossain Khandaker (First Assistant Port Secretary), SM Faridul Alam (Technology-Training and Legal Affairs Secretary), Ahmad Shahid Uddin (Publicity and Office Affairs Secretary), and Md. Shafiul Azam Khan (Cultural-Labor and Social Welfare Secretary).

The elected Executive Members are Md Monirul Islam, Md Shawkat Akbar, Md Shahnewaz Rumi, Md Alamgir Hossain, Md Alamgir Sarkar, Md Mejbah Uddin, Md Sarafat Ullah, Md Salauddin, Md Golam Nabi, Sarwar Alam Khan, Md Mohibur Rahman Chowdhury, and Ahmed Ullah Talukder.

Commenting on the unexpected outcome, Chief Election Commissioner Mohammad Sharif said, "Although 72 nomination papers were collected and 59 were submitted, there was initially no competition for eight posts. We planned to announce the results after the election on 26 February. However, since all opposing candidates withdrew their nominations, we declared the results early."
