According to prosecution, Hanif was hacked to death by the convicts over a family feud and land dispute on April 10, 2017.

4 sentenced to death for murder in Kushtia

A woman was among four persons sentenced to death by a court here on Wednesday over the murder of her husband in 2017.

The convicts are Shyamal Pramanik, 27, Asmat Ali Mandal, 47, Mukul Hossain, 26, and Dolena Begum, 42. Dolena was the second wife of Hanif Ali of Arkandi village in Bheramara upazila.

According to prosecution, Hanif was hacked to death by the convicts over a family feud and land dispute on April 10, 2017.

His son Aminul Islam filed a case at Bheramara Police Station the following day. Police submitted chargesheet in the case on June 15 that year.

After examining records and witnesses, Kushtia District and Sessions Judge Arup Kumar Goswami handed down the verdict.
