Dhaka-16 BNP candidate pledges for building a humanitarian country
He illustrated his development plan for the Dhaka 16 constituency, constituted with Dhaka North City Corporation wards 2, 3, 5, and 6 (Pallabi, Rupnagar) if he is elected in the upcoming national polls.
BNP-nominated candidate for Dhaka-16, Aminul Huq, is committed to building a humanitarian country through implementing a development plan based on public opinion, not to make any fake promises with the people ahead of the upcoming polls on February 12.
"I will work for developing a nice, peaceful, and humanitarian country and also a state of justice", he said.
The BNP-nominated candidate told this recently in an interview with the state-run news agency BSS at his constituency here.
"I have brought up in this area. I have direct relations with the people of this constituency, and I am very much aware of their problems, and I will implement the development plan based on their opinion", he told.
He illustrated his development plan for the Dhaka 16 constituency, constituted with Dhaka North City Corporation wards 2, 3, 5, and 6 (Pallabi, Rupnagar) if he is elected in the upcoming national polls.
The BNP-nominated candidate said that he will work for implementing the development plan in line with the development plan outlined by our Chairman, Tarique Rahman.
Replying to a query on taking action on eliminating extortion and solving the waterlogging problem in his constituency, the BNP-nominated candidate said he will take action to resolve water logging problem and eliminate extortion from his constituency.
"I want to restore public confidence and faith in politicians by implementing all of my electoral pledges. As the voters are hopeful that I will try to resolve the gas crisis and unplanned urbanization, while the city dwellers have been suffering with these major problems for a long time," he said.
Regarding the electoral code of conduct, Aminul Huq said he has instructed the leaders and activists of the constituency to comply with the electoral code of conduct, while he is very much conscious of the electoral rules, instead of resorting to violence, intimidation, and violation of rules in hanging posters and banner forthe election campaign.
Expressing his position on the referendum for implementing the July charter, the Dhaka-16 candidate said the referendum is the key strength of democracy, and that's why we will takea position in favour of 'Yes' in the referendum.
Even the BNP has 31-points which contain the most fundamental points of the state reform, and the mass uprising holds the sentiment of state reform, transparency, and accountability of the government.
"We are expecting a free, fair election where all the political parties will get equal opportunities. The Election Commission impartially will perform its constitutional responsibility, and it is the expectation of the masses", he said.
The total voters of the constituency are 4,00499 including 2,l01,168 males and 1,99,323 females.
The other candidates of the constituency are M Abdul Baten from Jamaat-e Islami, M Saiful Islam from Islami Andolon Bangladesh, Mohammad Touhiduzzaman of Bangladesh Khelafat Andolon, Abdur Kader Gilani of Muktijote, Gono Odhikar Parishad candidate M Mamun Hossen, AKM Moazzem Hossain from Bangladesh Labour Party, M Tariqul Islam from NPP, Bangladesh Jatiya Party candidate M Nazmul Huq, Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal candidate Rashidul Islam, and Jatiya Party candidate Sultan Ahmed Selim.
