White House shares video of Maduro's 'perp walk' on US soil

The White House has released video footage showing Nicolas Maduro, the embattled leader of Venezuela, in handcuffs and in US custody after being flown to New York.
The clip, shared by the White House's official Rapid Response account today (4 January), shows Maduro being escorted by law enforcement agents in what is described as a "perp walk" — a term used to denote the public escort of a detainee.
Once on US soil, footage shows Maduro wearing restraints and escorted through a corridor marked with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
In the footage, Maduro appears composed as he addresses officials and personnel, even extending a brief "Happy New Year" greeting upon his arrival.
Earlier, Maduro and his wife were detained during a large-scale US military and law enforcement operation in Caracas early on Saturday (3 January).
