Shakib Al Hasan goes for scans after New Zealand match due to injury suffered during batting

Shakib went to the hospital for a scan due to a thigh muscle injury in the match against New Zealand.
Shakib was seen showing discomfort due to the injury against New Zealand in Chennai on Friday, and he also struggled while running. Despite bowling 10 overs with discomfort in his left thigh, the Bangladesh captain was not present at the award ceremony. Bangladesh vice-captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto, who came to the award ceremony, informed about the condition of Shakib's injury.
The left-handed batsman said that Shakib went for a scan due to an injury in the thigh muscle. "After the scan, you will know about his condition," he said. It is reported that Shakib also has a fever along with a thigh injury. "Shakib was suffering from mild fever before the match. Shakib's condition is yet to be officially announced by the team management," Shnto added.
While batting, Shakib's thigh muscle was strained, and he started batting again with treatment. Shakib scored 40 runs in 51 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes in the match which was lost by a big margin due to batting failure. He made a partnership of 96 runs with Mushfiqur Rahim. Shakib later took a wicket for 54 runs in 10 overs, his 39th wicket of the World Cup.
Despite completing the bowling quota, Shakib was uncomfortable running while fielding. He was seen suffering from the injury even while bowling. That is why Shakib fielded at the slips, where he is not usually seen fielding. Even after finishing the match, this experienced cricketer did not spend much time with the discomfort of the injury.
