Bulbul re-elected as BCB president unopposed
Bulbul was first elected president in the last week of May this year.

Like the overall BCB election, this outcome was also anticipated. The announcement by the Election Commission was therefore a mere formality. Aminul Islam has once again taken charge as the BCB president. In the board of directors' election held today at a five-star hotel in the capital, 25 directors were elected.
Later, through their votes, Aminul was re-elected as president unopposed. In the same election, two vice-presidents were also appointed — Faruque Ahmed and Shakhawat Hossain.
While announcing the results at a press conference, Chief Election Commissioner Mohammad Hossain formally declared Aminul as president.
Aminul was first elected president in the last week of May this year, replacing Faruque Ahmed, who had been appointed as a director nominated by the National Sports Council. This time, Aminul secured his position through victory as a director representing the Dhaka Division.
In the previous BCB board, the two vice-presidents were Fahim Sinha and Nazmul Abedeen. Although Fahim submitted his nomination papers this time, he later withdrew his candidacy. Nazmul, meanwhile, became a councillor from Dhaka District and was elected as a director from the same division.
Newly appointed vice-president Faruque Ahmed had previously served as BCB president, while the other vice-president, Shakhawat Hossain, had most recently been an advisor to the BCB president on cricket tourism affairs.
