60 new cases of infections were reported in Brahmanbaria on Friday, taking the total number of coronavirus patients in the district to 733

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of of Brahmanbaria's Akhaura Tahmina Akhter Reina has tested positive for Covid-19.

Her coronavirus test report reached the Civil Surgeon's Office on Friday.

Apart from Reina, 59 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Brahmanbaria. With this, the number of confirmed coronavirus patients in the district now stands at 733, among them eight have succumbed to the disease.

"UNO Reina gave her samples to Brahmanbaria Medical College Hospital Friday for testing as she had symptoms of the coronavirus. She is now in home isolation as her test report came out positive positive," said Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Rashedur Rahman.

Brahmanbaria Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Ekram Ullah said, "Today we have received 595 reports. Of these, 505 reports came from Dhaka and 90 from Brahmanbaria Medical College Hospital. Of these reports, 60 are positive and the rest are negative."
