BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has called on the interim government to disclose to the public any "unjust agreements" former premier Sheikh Hasina made with foreign countries.

"If these unjust agreements are not made public, people will start questioning the competence of the interim government," the BNP leader told reporters after meeting with families of student movement martyrs Tahmid and Masud Rana in Dhaka's Mirpur today (3 October).

Rizvi warned the government to be cautious to this end.

Speaking on the student-led mass uprising, Rizvi said, "Bangladesh has started its journey toward democracy. The interim government should quickly arrange for necessary reforms and ensure elections."

The BNP leader further said, "Nowhere in the world have fascists been reinstated. This cannot become established socially. In countries like Italy and Germany, democracy-loving people never allowed the resurgence of fascists or the Nazis."

He also pointed out that between 2014 and 2017, Bangladesh saw the rise of an extremely wealthy class, surpassing many other countries. Rizvi expressed that the people of Bangladesh do not want a resurgence of fascism.

Addressing the chief adviser, Rizvi requested that the families of martyrs be given government jobs according to their educational qualifications, as it is a crucial need.
