National University announces new schedules for exams

All the postponed examinations will be taken as per the revised schedule from 24 May

Yielding to the demand of the students, National University authorities have announced new schedules for all postponed examinations. 

All the postponed examinations will be taken as per the revised schedule from 24 May, according to a press release of the National University.

The 2019 Degree Pass and Certificate Course 2nd Year postponed examination and 2018 Masters final examination and all other professional course postponed examinations will be started from the day.

Besides, the admission process for the first year of 2020-2021 academic year will be started from 8 June, 2021.

National university authorities have urged students to prepare for the examinations. 

Detailed revised schedule of postponed examinations has been published on the University website (www.nu.ac.bd).

Earlier in the day, some students of National University tried to block capital's Shahbagh intersection in protest against the government decision of examination postponement.

Police foil NU students’ attempt to block Shahbagh, 11 detained 

Police foiled the attempt of students and detained 11 students from there and others were dispersed.

Later, more than 100 students took position in front of Public Library in capital's Shahbagh area at 11.45pm, within one hour of detention of 11 protesting students. 

Earlier on 22 February, the National University authorities postponed all sorts of examinations until further notice.

On the same day, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said the government has decided to reopen the public and private universities on 24 May. The residential halls of public universities will be reopened on 17 May.
