On Monday, Dhaka South has trained a medical team of 84 doctors and nurses on Covid-19 vaccine administration.

The city corporation authority organised the training at the Nagar Bhaban's Mayor Hanif Auditorium aiming to prepare the medical team to administer the vaccine to residents of Dhaka south.

Dr Fazle Shamsul Kabir and Dr Nishat Parveen facilitated the session as training instructors. They are both already trained as National Trainers (Master Trainers) of the Department of Health.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the corona vaccination program on January 27. The program will be rolled out the next day in five medical colleges and universities in Dhaka.

The vaccines will be administered daily from 8am to 3pm. Vaccination will be completed in two doses - the first dose is 0.5mm, and the second will be administered eight weeks after the first dose.

500-600 more people will be vaccinated at Dhaka Medical College, Kurmitola General, Mugda General, Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospitals.
