Nagad provides financial support to family of late field worker

Nagad, a leading mobile financial service provider in Bangladesh, has provided life insurance support to the family of Sentu Hawlader, a field sales representative from Narail who recently died in a road accident.

On Sunday, Sentu's wife, Sumaiya Islam, and family received a cheque for BDT 3.5 lakh at Waadaa. Insure's head office. Although DSOs are not direct employees, Nagad emphasized its responsibility to support them in times of hardship.

Motasem Billah, Nagad's administrator, and SK Khalidujjaman, associate director and CMO of Waadaa.Insure handed over the cheque. Muhammad Asif Shams, CEO of Chartered Life Insurance, also attended the ceremony.

Also present were Md. Habibur Rahman, Senior Associate Administrator of Nagad, Mohummed Shahin Sarwar Bhuiyan, Acting Chief Commercial Officer, and senior officials from Waadaa.Insure and Chartered Life Insurance.

Speaking at the event, Motasem Billah said: "Field sales representatives are the backbone of our operations. They work in challenging conditions and face risks. Although current support is limited, we aim to expand it. Nagad remains committed to the financial and social protection of every worker."

Expressing her gratitude, Sumaiya Islam said: "Losing my husband is indescribable. Still, I thank Nagad for their support. My main concern is our only son's future, and this assistance brings hope."

Besides the cheque, local distributor Messrs Wahiduzzaman is providing the family with a monthly allowance of BDT 2,000 until February and a yearly allowance of BDT 4,000 until Sentu's son turns ten.

Nagad reaffirmed its commitment to DSO families, stressing that each field worker is essential to its nationwide mission.
