Veteran actor Monowar Hossain Dipjol has been admitted to Shyamoli Specialized Hospital.

The actor will be undergoing surgery to remove a tumour from his stomach, reported by Jagonews 24.

Zayed Khan, General Secretary at Bangladesh Film Artiste Association posted about Dipjol's health update on his Facebook account last night. In his post, he said that "Popular actor Monowar Hossain Dipjol has been admitted to hospital. He will undergo surgery on September 15 in the morning. Please do pray for him."

The actor was suffering from severe cold-related issues in March and was admitted to the hospital to remove cough from his respiratory system. In 2017 he had to undergo treatment in Singapore due to cardiovascular-related problems. A ring was placed in his heart during his treatment in Singapore.
