Xiaomi is reportedly working on premium Android tablets that are expected to launch soon. A new leak details the upcoming tablets which will be called Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro.

According to this leak, Xiaomi could launch the Mi Pad 5 tablet series as early as this month. The tablets will most likely make their debut in China, and possibly expand to other markets later.

Xiaomi is said to price the Mi Pad 5 at RMB 3,000 (Tk 40,000 approx), according to a leak by Digital Chat Station (via 91mobiles). In terms of specs, Mi Pad 5 is expected to feature a 10.95-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Mi Pad 5 Pro could feature a 144Hz display. The tablets will run MIUI that is customised for tablet use. It will also feature handheld PC mode, a classic start menu, control centre, multiwindow and more.

The Mi Pad 5 is also said to feature a dual-camera setup with a 20-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor. Xiaomi is expected to use aluminium alloy material for the Mi Pad 5, and place the fingerprint sensor on top of the tablet. Mi Pad 5 has been spotted with thin bezels, and a Mi 11X-like rear camera design. There's also a large Xiaomi branding on the rear panel.

There could be another tablet in the series, according to some leaks. These tablets are also rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipsets. One of the tablets could also pack an 8720mAh battery. With the launch expected to happen this month, we'll soon get to know what Xiaomi has to offer.
