UCB opens 186th sub-branch in Teknaf
United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) has inaugurated its 186th sub-branch on 30 September 2025 at the heart of Teknaf Municipality, with a vision to deliver modern banking services at people's doorsteps and strengthen financial inclusion.
Distinguished businessman, social worker and politician of Teknaf, Abdullah, inaugurated the sub-branch as chief guest. The event was attended by Mohammad Ridwanul Hoque, Head of Distribution & Strategy, and Zeeshan Kingshuk Huq, Chief Communication Officer, along with UCB officials, local dignitaries, businessmen and valued customers.
"We aim to further expand UCB's extensive network of over 415 branches and sub-branches," said Mohammad Ridwanul Hoque, stressing the importance of transaction security and transparency.

Introducing the branch team, Zeeshan Kingshuk Huq noted, "Compared to last year, UCB's net deposit has grown by nearly 28%, whereas the overall industry growth was just over 7%. UCB has never bounced or delayed any cheque from any account."
The Teknaf sub-branch will provide customers with access to UCB's full range of banking products and services, supporting the bank's continued growth in deposits and customer base nationwide.
Distinguished political personality of Teknaf Upazila, Sultan Ahmed, BA, delivered the closing remarks as special guest. The inauguration concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
