Bank employee killed after being crushed between two buses in Badda

A 35-year-old private bank employee was killed after being caught between two buses on the Link Road in Badda this evening (27 January), police said.
The victim, Abul Kashem Azad, sustained critical injuries in the incident and was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 6:15pm, where doctors on duty declared him dead.
Confirming the death, Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital police camp, said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for further procedures.
Azad, who worked at a private bank, was the son of the late Abul Kalam Azad of Nekdi village in Faridganj upazila of Chandpur.
According to his colleague Iftekhar Hossain, Azad was returning home after work when the incident occurred.
"He was crossing the road on the Link Road in Badda when he was caught between two buses named Raida and Victor and seriously injured. We took him to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead," he said.
