Chinese firm Huaju accessories signs land lease at BEPZA EZ
Huaju Accessories Co Ltd, a Chinese company, has signed a land lease agreement with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority to establish an accessories manufacturing industry at the BEPZA Economic Zone in Mirsharai, Chattogram.
The agreement, involving a proposed investment of $16.34 million, was signed on 26 January, 2026 at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka. The project is expected to generate employment opportunities for 1,395 Bangladeshi nationals.
Under the agreement, the company will manufacture a wide range of accessories, including bra cups, bra wire, hook and eye, webbing tape, elastic, drawstring, slider, snap button, logo, bag and luggage hardware, and rib, with an annual production target of four million kilograms.
Executive Director (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Md Tanvir Hossain signed the agreement on behalf of BEPZA, while Managing Director of Huaju Accessories Co Ltd Yang Yanmei signed on behalf of the investing company. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Executive Chairman of BEPZA Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain, ndc, afwc, psc, G, MPhil.
Welcoming the investor, the executive chairman reaffirmed BEPZA's commitment to providing seamless facilitation and a supportive, investor-friendly environment to ensure the success of industrial ventures.
The ceremony was attended by Member (Engineering) Abdullah Al Mamun; Member (Finance) A N M Foyzul Haque; Executive Director (Enterprise Services) Md Khorshid Alam; Executive Director (Administration) Samir Biswas; and Executive Director (Public Relations) A S M Anwar Parvez, along with senior officials of BEPZA and representatives of Huaju Accessories Co Ltd.
