The discussion also emphasised the Mitigation of audit observations, strengthening the compliance culture at all levels, risk-based customer due diligence, and full compliance with the Bangladesh Bank's AML/KYC guidelines.
NPL recovery was identified as a top operational priority. Branch managers were instructed to implement realistic recovery action plans, enhance engagement with borrowers, and pursue proactive legal measures as necessary.
Delivering the keynote address, Deputy Managing Director Mohammed Rashedul Amin urged branch heads to cultivate a culture of compliance, enhance customer relationship management, and tap into emerging retail segments, particularly in urban and semi-urban markets.
He outlined the Bank's long-term strategic priorities for overcoming budget shortfalls through targeted business drives, accelerating NPL reduction and recovery, expanding the retail banking footprint with technology-integrated offerings, and growing a stable base of low-cost deposits to support sustainable business growth.
The conference concluded with a unified call to action on working collaboratively as a leadership circle and striving to exceed the Bank's strategic goals in the Khulna region.
