BUTEX club to host World Cup-themed creative event
ARTex, the Art and Photography Club of Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX), will transform the Kolorob Prangan at BUTEX campus into a vibrant stage for youth art and culture with 'Nirobotai Kolorob 7.0' on 30 April.
The flagship event features a campus-wide creative initiative inspired by the FIFA World Cup 2026, according to a press release.
Organisers stated that the initiative will transform World Cup excitement into a youth-driven festival of artistic and cultural expression.
The event will unite art and sport through visual storytelling, creativity, and youth engagement.
A highlight of this year's edition is 'EKPHORIA', a national art and photography exhibition being organised at BUTEX for the first time.
The exhibition has attracted entries from students at over 40 universities nationwide, the release said.
Participants will develop creative skills and gain exposure as they explore themes including emotion, culture, identity, rivalry, and football's global impact through their work.
Ahead of the event, the BUTEX campus has been adorned with large-scale wall graffiti installations by ARTex artists, reflecting the spirit of the World Cup.
The daylong programme will feature a live art competition, live T-shirt and tote bag painting, an art and photography exhibition, flash mobs, cultural performances, and a concert.
Over 30 university clubs are participating as partners and campus ambassadors, making this year's edition the largest to date.
Organisers stated that the event has established a national platform for young artists and creators.
ARTex described 'Nirobotai Kolorob 7.0' as more than an event—a celebration of youth creativity, emotion, and global connection.
Organisers expressed hope that the initiative will inspire future large-scale creative events, foster personal and creative growth, and advance art and culture among students.
