Shilpakala Academy to host cultural event celebrating Jyaishtha
Srijonshil Sangskritik Oikya, with support from Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, will organise a cultural programme titled "Jyaishther Ranga Sokal" at the National Art Gallery Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Sunday, 14 June 2026.
The programme, themed "Am, Jam, Lichur Ghrane, Eso Mili Sanskritir Prane", will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
The event has been arranged to celebrate Madhumas, the Bengali fruit season, and spread its festive spirit through cultural activities.
Madhumas is an important part of Bengali culture, associated with the arrival of seasonal fruits, greenery, birdsong and the rhythm of nature.
The organisers said the season reflects joy, renewal and emotional connection, and should be celebrated through music, dance, recitation and collective cultural expression.
The programme will be chaired by SM Salauddin, President of Srijonshil Sangskritik Oikya.
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Director General Reza Uddin Ahmed, also known as poet Rezauddin Stalin, will attend the programme as the chief guest.
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Secretary Mohammad Zakir Hosen will attend as the special guest.
Muhammad Saidur Rahman, General Secretary of Srijonshil Sangskritik Oikya, will deliver the welcome address.
Following the discussion, a colourful cultural segment will feature music, dance and recitation performances to mark Madhumas.
The organisers said the programme aims to bring the fragrance of mango, jamun and litchi into the heart of cultural celebration and create a joyful platform for artists and culture enthusiasts.
