PRAN Dairy partners with BAU to improve milk quality
PRAN Dairy Limited and the Interdisciplinary Institute for Food Security at Bangladesh Agricultural University have entered into a strategic partnership to advance Bangladesh's dairy industry.
The agreement was formalised at a recent ceremony at Bangladesh Agricultural University.
Under the memorandum, both organisations will jointly promote research, innovation, and quality-enhancement initiatives to strengthen the country's dairy sector.
The collaboration aims to bridge academic research and industry expertise, enhancing the overall standards and sustainability of dairy production in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Agricultural University Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr G M Mujibur Rahman attended the ceremony as chief guest.
PRAN Group Managing Director Eleash Mridha and BAU Dean Council Convener Professor Dr Md Ruhul Amin were present as special guests.
Welcoming the initiative, Professor Dr G M Mujibur Rahman said, "Such collaboration between academia and industry is crucial for ensuring the country's food and nutrition security."
Speaking at the event, Eleash Mridha said contributing to the development of Bangladesh's dairy industry remains a key priority for PRAN Dairy.
"Through this MoU, we can play a greater role in improving milk quality. This initiative also reaffirms our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality milk to consumers," he said.
PRAN Dairy Limited Chief Operating Officer Md Maksudur Rahman, Interdisciplinary Institute for Food Security Director Professor Dr Md Mahabub Alam, BAU Department of Animal Science Professor Dr Raihan Habib, faculty members of the Interdisciplinary Institute for Food Security and senior officials of PRAN Dairy Limited were also present.
