NSU Startups Next celebrates student entrepreneurship and industry ties
NSU Startups Next (NSUSN) hosted Startups Showcase 2025, a two-day entrepreneurship festival at North South University (NSU), celebrating the creativity of NSU founders and the university's growing engagement with industry and investors.
The event brought together students, faculty, alumni, mentors, and corporate partners, demonstrating how university-driven innovation can evolve into market-ready ventures. The exhibition featured live product demonstrations and interactive displays from NSU-founded startups, while networking sessions facilitated meaningful exchanges between entrepreneurs and investors.
Organisers highlighted the event's key outcomes — greater visibility for student ventures, enhanced campus–industry linkages, and stronger experiential learning opportunities for NSU's academic community. The showcase also recognised Cohort 3 startups for their progress toward investment readiness and scale.
"North South University has the highest representation of successful startups in Bangladesh's ecosystem," said Samuel Mursalin, Director (In-Charge), NSU Startups Next. "Founders of Pathao, Chaldal, ShareTrip, iFarmer, Truck Lagbe, Jatri, and Barikoi all began here. Through Startups Showcase 2025, we introduced the next generation of promising ventures and connected them directly with mentors, investors, and policymakers."
Nusrat Aziz, Programme Coordinator of NSU Startups Next, added, "We showcased homegrown ventures that we've mentored for just a few months, and it's remarkable to see their progress. Our mission is to empower every young founder to innovate and create something extraordinary."
NSU Startups Next supports early-stage entrepreneurs through its three-stage Founders' Lab, Flagship Incubation, and Post-Graduation Support programmes. Since its inception, NSUSN has mentored hundreds of founders, helping launch ventures that contribute to employment generation and sustainable economic growth in Bangladesh.
