Notre Dame College organises countries largest educational festival

"To institutionalise the practice of science, technology, and general knowledge among students, Notre Dame College once again successfully organised one of the country's largest educational festivals—Notre Dame Annual Science Festival 2024, along with the prestigious 34th General Knowledge Competition (GKC).
The main festival occurred on April 30, May 1, and May 5, 2024, at the Notre Dame College campus.
Before the main events, the Online Divisional Round was held on April 25 and 26. Over 15,000 students from 350 educational institutions across all eight country divisions participated, making it one of Bangladesh's most inclusive and wide-reaching science-based competitions.
On the festival's closing day, Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor of the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), was the chief guest. In his speech, he emphasised the importance of science, technology, and innovation in shaping the future and encouraged young minds to pursue research-based education.
Father Hemonto Pius Rozario, Principal of Notre Dame College, was also the Special Guest at the event. He emphasised the importance of integrating scientific knowledge with moral and ethical values for students' comprehensive development.
The program was presided over by Vincent Titas Rozario, Moderator of the Notre Dame Science Club, whose guidance and the relentless efforts of the club members ensured the successful execution of this large-scale event.
School and college participants showcased their creativity, analytical skills, and scientific curiosity through competitions. The key events included: Father Richard Timm Memorial Science Olympiad
(Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics),34th General Knowledge Competition (GKC), Innovative Project Exhibition, Poster Presentation and Scientific Model Display, Robotics Events such as (Line Following Robot (LFR), Robo Soccer), Quiz Competitions (in various categories), Multimedia Presentation & Scientific Idea Showcasing, etc.
This grand celebration of science brought together hundreds of enthusiastic students under one collaborative and knowledge-driven platform. Participants presented their skills and ideas and learned from one another, reflecting a true spirit of cooperative learning.
Through this event, the Notre Dame Science Club proved its commitment to nurturing leadership, innovation, and a scientific temperament among Bangladesh's youth.
